Shirley Jackson aka LIONINTHETREES is a Black and Korean artist made of flesh and bone residing in the beautiful state of California.
Shirley holds a BFA in Visual Communications from Weber State University.
She works in both traditional and digital mediums, but now concentrates on what she calls her soulmate of art mediums—pottery and ceramics.
Shirley is someone who prides herself in creating authentic work that comes directly from her hands and heart. Her body of work can be described as modern artifacts inspired by the natural world, folklore, and her own personal mythology.
Shirley can be found riding horses, wishing on shooting stars, getting existential, and dancing with her dogs.
